There’s no right way to manage life during quarantine

Ohhhh Chile, 2020 is having its way with us! I know I’m not the only one, who thought that 2020 was going to be my year. I mean, I was going to get summertime fine, up my travel game and continue to get my money right. I joined a gym and was hitting it at 5:00 am. I went to Disney and planned two additional trips before the end of the year. I buckled down and started really budgeting and saving.

By March, Miss Rona came and in and showed her whole natural ass. Schools are closed, the office is closed, and I can’t find disinfectant to save my life. I’ve definitely saved money during this time since I’m not allowed to cruise the aisles of Ross, TJ Max and Burlington.

The global pandemic has completely changed our way of life. This new normal brings a ton of emotions for everyone; worry, fear, sadness, excitement, motivation, laziness and a host of others. I sometimes experience all of these within the same day. I’ve seen the memes on social media that says you should learn new skills, get your goal body and cherish every moment. That is all well and good if that is what you want to do. If you want to work out, organize your home and schedule nonstop activities for you and your family, that’s perfectly fine. If you want to lounge around the house in PJs, binge watch “Tiger King”, and eat cookies all day, that’s also okay.

Please understand there is no right way to quarantine. During this unprecedented time, allow yourself some much deserved grace. Remember to follow social distancing guidelines, wear your mask and thank our essential workers.

Until next time stay safe my friends
